Notes My carved top and back mandolin is reminiscent of the Gibson 'A' style oval hole models although with the sides flush joining the neck as in the very first Orville Gibson models before mass production. The sound is sweet and open with a strong fundamental and a woody rasp enhanced by the beautiful carved flame maple back. It will cut through in a session and yet produce the delicasy and harmonics loved by classical players.
